After the Great Age is a speculative image series centered on the remains of a vanished technological civilization.

Across wetlands, coastlines, abandoned presentation grounds, artificial ecosystems, and unfamiliar planetary environments, monumental display figures modeled after Elon Musk remain scattered and forgotten. Once symbols of ambition, innovation, and limitless expansion, they now persist only as silent relics.

The work imagines a future in which the promises of technological capitalism have already passed, leaving behind only its monuments.

Concept

The project is less concerned with Elon Musk as an individual than with what he represents.

Throughout the early twenty-first century, technology entrepreneurs increasingly became symbols of progress, vision, and collective aspiration. Their images circulated far beyond the products and companies they created, evolving into cultural icons and objects of belief.

In this imagined future, the systems that produced those icons have disappeared, yet their representations remain.

The abandoned figures function as archaeological traces of a period that once believed technology could continually reinvent the world.
